Beyonce Signs $50 Million Pepsi Deal! Here’s What Your Small Business Can Learn From This!

So what.  Another Pepsi deal with a rock star right?  Well not quite. Take your small business out of the dark ages and change your business for life!Small Business Can Learn from Beyonce Pepsi Deal

Pepsi and other brands like Polaroid, Glaceau which makes “Vitamin Water”,  and Intel are just a few of the big brands that are hiring celebrities to be their brand ambassadors.

But, these are not your grandma’s brand ambassador deals.

Remember back in the day Pepsi signed a huge contract with “King Of Pop” Micheal Jackson.  Most of those deals went like this.  Micheal came in, shot some commercials, and print ads, and they were played in every ad spot available.

The deal that Beyonce just inked with Pepsi is nothing like that.  Today, brands are looking to build real relationships with their audience and also the star is looking for their brand DNA to be on that product as well.

“Pepsi will pay for Beyonce to help create content and develop new ways of fan engagement.”-Shareen Pathak

So what does that mean for small business looking to grow their business? It means that small businesses need to get serious about creating content that is engaging and valuable to your audience.

Make a bold statement to your competition by crushing it.  Do what they aren’t doing.  Many times its giving away good info…for FREE! Your clients will be begging you for more!

With all the attention on you, your company gains recognition.  Recognition gives you automatic trust.  Automatic trust makes consumers like you more than your competitors.

When your customers like you, they get to know you.  And when they get to know you they buy from you.

Building this relationship between company and client has been talked about for years now.  Developing USP’s, marketing strategies and websites mean nothing unless its all focused on a single most important plan to build an unbreakable relationship with your audience.

This is not easy to do.  It takes time and strategic planning.

However, when done correctly you create your own brand ambassadors, and it won’t cost you $50 Million to do it!

The buzz will start to grow about your business.  This will spread naturally throughout social media and cause your ranking in search engines to go up, natural links back to your site, and a genuine interest in what you have to say.

You have just done what Beyonce is doing with Pepsi for a fraction of the cost.  And you now have multiple brand ambassadors.

Besides with Google’s Penguin and Panda algorithm changes, which basically lowers the ranking of websites with little content, lots of ads, and regurgitated sites,  it is a sign of the times that the Almighty Google wants words with meaning.

Google wants websites that help people by providing content that is naturally being searching for.

This is where small business owners drop the ball and lose out on generating more income for their business and can’t figure out why.

Creating good content doesn’t have to take months on end and if you realize just how important it is you will make time to do it….or hire someone who can do it for you.

Many small business owners don’t know what to do.  And thats understandable.  We don’t have a marketing department to stay on top of the latest tip and tricks.

We know what we do.  If we are A/C companies, that we know.  If we are salon owners and stylist thats what we know.

But it’s time to expand your knowledge base and do what is going to keep us in business for the long run.  Get out of your own way and change with the times.  Or you’ll be stuck in the past… with nothing to show for it.
